BMSL require an experienced Mechanical Supervisor for a commercial project working nightshift in the Clydebank area please find a rough guide to a job specification below. Supervise and coordinate a team of mechanical operatives, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols. Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity, quality, and worksite discipline. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and subcontractors. Project Execution Assist in the planning and scheduling of mechanical works in line with overall project timelines. Ensure mechanical systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with drawings and regulations. Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and other supervisors to ensure integrated delivery of services. Inspect mechanical works regularly to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and quality benchmarks. Address any installation issues or defects and implement corrective actions promptly. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and handover documentation. Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture on site. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings with the mechanical team. Ensure correct PPE is worn and all site-specific safety procedures are followed. Manage material deliveries and stock levels for mechanical components on site. Ensure all equipment is safely operated, maintained, and accounted for. Report material shortages, damages, or delays to the project team promptly. Extensive experience in mechanical supervision within construction or building services environments. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system installation techniques. Ability to lead and manage teams effectively under tight schedules and changing site conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid CSCS/ECS card, SSSTS/SMSTS certification, and relevant mechanical qualifications.
