Senior Legal Counsel
Energy/Construction firm
1 year fixed term contract
London (Hybrid working)
£100K-£110K
The role:
- Advising the Asset Management Team in regard to existing O&M and EPC contracts (including defect liability matters), support and repair contracts required for ongoing maintenance and repair of the asset, and supporting new small-scale construction projects.
- Providing legal support in relation to grid connection arrangements, property instruments and land access arrangements
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including supplier agreements, agreements governing the delivery and maintenance of the company's IT systems and services, consultancy agreements and agreements with energy trading companies
- Advising on arrangements central to interconnector operations, including agreements with Transmission System Operators, agreements with customers
- Assisting with the management of external legal counsel and management of ongoing disputes and litigation
- Assisting with the management of confidential information and intellectual property, compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, management of existing/future third party supplier T&Cs and ongoing regulatory reporting.
Requirements:
- Commercial legal experience in an in-house team at an engineering, construction or energy company, or from private practice.
- Confident advising on a broad range of legal issues
- Minimum of 4 years PQE.
