Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: 55k - 65k + Generous benefits package

The Company:

A leading, well-established and highly respected main contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Birmingham. The Role:

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for M&E packages from procurement through to final account, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of M&E packages across live projects

  • Procurement and management of specialist subcontractors

  • Cost planning, forecasting and reporting

  • Valuations, variations and change management

  • Contract administration and risk management

  • Supporting the wider project and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Key Requirements

  • The client is open to a range of backgrounds and is particularly keen to speak with:

  • M&E biased Quantity Surveyors currently working within main contracting, or Commercial professionals from an M&E subcontractor background looking to step into main contracting

  • You may come from either a mechanical or electrical/engineering background

  • Experience managing M&E packages on construction projects

  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness

  • The ability to build strong relationships with project teams and supply chain partners

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
