Civil Foreman

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of specialist civil engineering works across the Highlands, we are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Foreman to join our client, a well-established, privately owned and expanding contractor.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, leading from the front, and taking pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll be part of a small, close-knit team within a growing business, where your input will genuinely make a difference.
The Role
You will oversee day-to-day site operations across a range of specialist civil engineering projects. Working closely with the Managing Director and engineers, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising site teams and subcontractors
Maintaining strict health & safety standards
Coordinating works to keep projects on track
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Ensuring quality control with strong attention to detail
Communicating effectively with engineers, management and clients
This is very much a site-based role, and you must be prepared to be actively involved in day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For
Strong civil engineering background
Valid SSSTS or SMSTS
Valid CSCS Card
Experience as a Foreman or Working Supervisor
A head for detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
Confident leading teams on site
Practical, hands-on approach
Willingness to work across projects in the Highlands
