Joiner - Social Housing Maintenance (Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades)
Location: Darlington
Rate: 18 per hour (CIS Available)
Contract: Long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM - 16:00PM
Benefits: Company van provided (work use only)
We are currently recruiting an experienced Joiner to work on behalf of the council in the Darlington area. This is a long-term opportunity within a busy responsive repairs environment, carrying out high-quality 2nd fix maintenance in domestic properties.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carrying out reactive maintenance repairs in occupied homes
- Completing all aspects of 2nd fix joinery, including:
- Hanging and adjusting doors
- Replacing skirting boards and architraves
- Laying flooring
- Boxing in pipework
- Other associated joinery maintenance tasks i.e. bathroom and kitchen upgrades
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with council requirements
- Delivering a professional and customer-focused service to tenants

What We're Looking For:
- City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Carpentry or Joinery
- Previous experience working within social housing or council maintenance
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced responsive repairs environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
