Rate: 20- 22 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Buyer - National House Builder - Leicester
I'm working with a national house builder who are looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their Leicester office on a temporary basis.
This role is to provide cover for two Buyers currently off sick, supporting the commercial and procurement team across live residential developments.
The Role:
Procuring materials and subcontract packages in line with programme requirements
Obtaining and analysing quotations to ensure best value
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
Placing orders and ensuring timely delivery to site
Working closely with Commercial, Technical, and Site teams
Monitoring budgets and maintaining accurate procurement records
Supporting ongoing developments to avoid delays or supply issues
Key Requirements:
Previous experience as a Buyer within a house building or residential development environment
Strong knowledge of materials procurement and subcontract packages
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple sites
Good negotiation and organisational skills
This is an immediate requirement for approximately three months, with potential for extension depending on business needs.
