MEICA Project Engineer (Scoping / Pre-Construction Bias)
We are currently working with a Tier 1 Delivery contractor, looking to appoint a MEICA Project Engineer with a strong bias towards scoping and pre-construction activities to support the development of projects across water and wastewater frameworks.
This role would suit someone from a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering background who enjoys early-stage project involvement, defining scope, assessing risk, and shaping projects before they go to site.
The Role
You will play a key role in the front-end development of schemes, working closely with designers, construction teams, and commercial departments to ensure projects are well-defined, buildable, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
Undertaking site visits and asset condition assessments
Developing detailed scope documents and engineering reports
Defining project requirements in collaboration with client stakeholders
Identifying risks, constraints and constructability considerations
Supporting outline design development and technical solutions
Assisting with cost estimates and programme input
Liaising with design teams across Mechanical, Electrical and Civil disciplines
Supporting tender documentation and handover into delivery teams
About You
Background in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
Experience within water / wastewater or utilities infrastructure
Strong understanding of MEICA installations and site-based constraints
Comfortable working in early project lifecycle / feasibility stages
Able to interpret drawings, specifications and asset data
Commercially aware with strong communication skills
