An opportunity has arisen within the Property Services Division for a QS to join my client, a specialist regional building contractor.
The Property Services Division is a Specialist and profitable Division and mainly carries out insurance loss repair and reinstatement works following floods, fires, escapes of water, lightning strikes, building defects etc. They work on domestic, multiple occupancy residential, educational, industrial and commercial buildings. Much of their work is negotiated and some is tendered. They are looking for someone who is keen to work in this sector of the construction industry and will be working on tendered and negotiated projects circa £10,000 to £1,000,000 in value and measured term/schedule of rates projects circa £10,000 to £100,000 in value. Much of their work is repeat business and they work with their clients, consultants and subcontractors with a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.
The Quantity Surveyor s duties include: -
The Quantity Surveyor will report to, and have the support of, the Managing Surveyor and Associate Director.
