Our client is a well-established and growing engineering contractor delivering high-quality electrical and multidisciplinary projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Project Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead electrical projects from conception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful planning, execution and delivery of electrical projects. You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and clients, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to final handover
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and cost plans
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification
Oversee site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Manage procurement of materials and equipment
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where required
Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies
Attend client meetings and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management
Manage project documentation, including RAMS, technical submissions and O&M manuals
Support commercial teams with valuations, variations and final accounts
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction or engineering sector
Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and building services
Experience managing commercial and/or industrial projects
Excellent understanding of UK health & safety regulations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and cost control
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
SMSTS or equivalent (desirable)
Full UK driving licence
