Your new companyYou will work for a UK leading property company, based in their Nottingham office. The team provides a broad range of commercial real estate services, supporting clients across sectors such as investment, development, property management, valuation, and building consultancy.

Your new roleThis position sits within an established team operating across the East Midlands, working with a diverse mix of property types. The workload includes mainstream commercial assets-industrial, office and retail-as well as development sites, residential investments and a variety of more specialist public-sector properties. • Loan Security Valuation - The role involves providing lenders with comprehensive, independent reports on the market value and rental value of individual properties or entire portfolios.
• Alternative Sectors - The team's alternative valuers undertake valuations for a wide range of purposes, including loan security, portfolio analysis, financial reporting, acquisition and disposal, compensation, property litigation and taxation.
• Company Accounts Valuation - The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of accurate and detailed valuations of clients' property assets for financial reporting and audit purposes.
• Diminution in Value - The role includes providing independent valuation advice in relation to dilapidations disputes and matters such as alleged negligence in conveyancing.
• Fund Valuation - The team supports asset management companies and investment trusts by delivering detailed valuations and insights into the performance and composition of their property holdings.

What you'll need to succeedThe role is suited to RICS Registered Valuers seeking a new challenge, as well as newly qualified surveyors or those working towards their RICS APC who wish to develop their skills as valuation surveyors. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in property, buildings and construction, and be passionate about progressing their career in valuation. They should be self-motivated, ambitious and driven, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to stand behind their professional decisions. A personable, professional and well-presented manner is essential, alongside excellent communication abilities. The position requires strong verbal and numerical skills, comfort with report writing, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. An MRICS qualification with proven experience-preferably within a commercial consultancy-is highly desirable. A clean driving licence is required.
