Job Responsibilities

• Carry out building surveys across council-managed properties

• Support facilities management and building services operations

• Identify building defects and recommend appropriate remedial actions

• Ensure works comply with relevant health and safety legislation

• Liaise with contractors, colleagues, and internal stakeholders

• Maintain accurate records and reports relating to inspections and works

• Support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements

• Relevant building surveying qualification or equivalent experience

• Valid CSCS trade card

• Asbestos Awareness certification

• Manual Handling training

• Working at Height training

• Abrasive Wheels training

• Full UK driving licence

• Right to work in the UK

• Ability to provide two written employment references (minimum six months coverage, including most recent employer)

• Willingness to undergo DBS checks and medical clearance if required

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment

• Knowledge of facilities management within large property portfolios

• Familiarity with NEPO procedures and documentation
