• Overseeing accident and incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions

• Delivering and overseeing health and safety training across the business

• Providing practical health and safety support to project and site teams

• Liaising with clients, consultants and external bodies as required

• Reporting on health and safety performance to senior management

• Ensuring the business is protected legally and operationally

What they are looking for

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

• Strong construction background with main contractor experience

• Proven experience leading health and safety at a senior or company wide level

• In depth knowledge of CDM regulations and UK health and safety legislation

• Experience implementing systems and processes, not just maintaining them

• Confident communicator able to influence directors, managers and site teams

• Willingness to travel nationally

Desirable

• Chartered Membership of IOSH

• Retail construction experience

• Experience working in a fast paced main contractor environment

• Experience dealing directly with national or blue chip clients

• Salary £75,000 to £85,000 depending on experience

• Senior leadership role with genuine influence

• Opportunity to shape and lead the health and safety function

• Nationwide project exposure

• Long term opportunity within a growing business

This is an immediate requirement and the business is looking for someone who can step in quickly, take control and raise standards across the organisation.
