The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a workshop environment and possess good all-round skills in the areas of fitting (gearboxes, pumps), basic milling/turning and TIG welding. The ability to read drawings and interpret site sketches is a prerequisite and knowledge of stainless steel fabrication/pipework and/or CNC equipment would be a definite advantage.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitter to work within the Marine Aggregate team based at Shoreham Wharf near Brighton on the South coast between Brighton and Southampton.
They will specifically focus on fixed plant maintenance on marine aggregate processing plants.
All applicants must be health and safety focused and be very self motivated.
We would expect the successful candidate to be an experienced fitter and be a competent welder fabricator. Tasks will include general maintenance, installing bearings on conveyors, pipe work fabricating and installation etc.
The candidate will also have the ability to find solutions to maintenance issues and complete preventive maintenance inspections across all parts of the aggregate processing plant.
