A well-regarded construction consultancy in the heart of Manchester is seeking a professional and delivery-focused Project Manager to take the lead on a series of healthcare and public sector projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to take ownership of client relationships while managing a diverse portfolio of projects through all stages of development.

The successful Project Manager will join a forward-thinking consultancy known for its strong presence in the healthcare, education and civic sectors. With a long-term pipeline of repeat clients and frameworks, the consultancy supports its staff with continued training and clear promotion routes. This role offers the chance for a capable Project Manager to step into a client-facing leadership position within a collaborative regional team.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will manage the full lifecycle of projects ranging in value from 5 million to 60 million, including NHS hospital refurbishments, health centres, and public infrastructure. You will be responsible for preparing delivery plans, managing consultant teams, liaising directly with clients and contractors, overseeing tender processes and reporting on progress, risk and budget.

Working alongside internal cost consultants and senior stakeholders, you will be the day-to-day project lead on multiple schemes. The role involves both pre and post-contract duties, and offers the chance to contribute to wider team development and mentoring of junior colleagues.

  • Structured career development and promotion prospects

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • Pension and private healthcare

  • Support towards APC, APM or equivalent qualifications

  • Meaningful project work with real community impact
