The Role and about the client:

ITS Building People are recruiting for a Utilities Supervisor in Southampton and surrounding areas on behalf of a nationally known utilities company. Known for completing small to large utility installation and maintenance projects, they have developed a strong reputation for quality, attention to detail and collaborative package delivery. They are seeking a Utilities Supervisor with experience in installing and maintaining BT and telecoms lines, installing track, maintaining blockages as well as all other associated tasks.

Key Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to;
  • Overseeing small teams in installation and maintenance of utility cabling.
  • Working alongside other trained professionals, ensuring work is done to a high quality and in a time-efficient manner
  • Ensuring all HSE and local regulations are strictly kept to, reporting any potential infringements immediately.
  • Ensuring plant is used in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assisting in the installation and maintenance of utilities, including telecoms and BT lines.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • SSSTS
  • Streetworks ticket
  • NRSWA ticket
  • First Aid
  • CSCS Card (NVQ Level 2 preferred as a minimum
  • Experience within utilities, including the installation and maintenance of telecoms cabling, clearing and easing blockages, running track as well as all other associated tasks
