About the Role

The Plant Fitter will carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of construction plant. The work is a mix of workshop-based and site support, keeping downtime to a minimum and standards high.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Servicing and maintaining construction and civil engineering plant

  • Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults

  • Carrying out repairs efficiently and safely

  • Inspecting plant to ensure compliance and readiness for site

  • Responding to breakdowns when required

  • Keeping clear and accurate maintenance records

  • Working closely with site teams and management

  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety

What They Are Looking For

  • Experience working as a Plant Fitter or similar role

  • Background with construction, civil engineering, or utility plant

  • Strong fault-finding and practical repair skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload

  • Full UK driving licence preferred

  • Relevant mechanical or plant qualifications beneficial
