Job Description

Our client is a trusted roofing contractor delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial and residential projects. With a strong reputation for reliability, workmanship, and safety, we continue to grow and are now looking to strengthen our commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.



The Role

They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial and financial management of roofing projects from tender through to final account. This is a key role supporting project delivery, cost control, and profitability.



Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts

  • Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Measuring works and producing accurate cost reports

  • Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management

  • Monitoring project costs to ensure financial targets are met

  • Supporting tender submissions and pricing work

  • Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients

  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial procedures



About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction (roofing experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Proficient in MS Excel and relevant commercial software

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
