About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of power infrastructure projects across Scotland. This role will involve working on a range of power projects, including substations, overhead lines, cabling, and associated civil works. Due to project locations, the role may require working away from home.
You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards, supporting the Site Agent and wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Site Agent in the planning, coordination, and delivery of power projects
Supervise site activities, subcontractors, and operatives
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Monitor progress against programme and report on site performance
Support the preparation of RAMS, permits, and site documentation
Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders as required
Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement on site
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer within power, utilities, or civil engineering projects
Good understanding of power infrastructure works and site processes
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance
Ability to work away from home when required
Excellent communication and organisational skills
SMSTS (or SSSTS working towards SMSTS)
CSCS card (essential)
Full UK driving licence
