Engineering Manager Project: HS2 Track Infrastructure Project Key responsibilities This role provides senior technical leadership for Track Systems scope, ensuring the integrated delivery, assurance, and governance of multidisciplinary design in line with HS2 contractual requirements. Supports the Lead Engineering Manager / Engineering Lead (Lot) in the coordination and delivery of design for the allocated Lot, from Scheme Design through Detailed Design, construction support and As-Built stages, in accordance with the Works Information and HS2 assurance processes. Acts as the Lot-level engineering focal point, coordinating day-to-day design delivery with Construction, Commercial, Planning and Project Controls teams to ensure alignment of design outputs with programme, cost and construction sequencing requirements. Is embedded within the route-wide Track Engineering function, ensuring consistency of technical standards, governance, assurance processes and design integration across all Lots. Role Brief: This Design Manager will manage the Stage 5 asset design and be responsible for leading and coordinating all design and disciplines associated with a particular asset, facilitate the delivery of the designs, ensuring the design is technically assured, delivered to programme and coordinated between design disciplines. Candidates for the role must have a proven experience of large-scale civil engineering projects. Your previous/background experience will likely have been within Design and Engineering Project Management. You will have a good knowledge of construction techniques and processes across shafts and head house structures, above and below ground with a focus on shaft fit-out and architectural design, with an appreciation of both temporary and permanent MEP as well as rail systems activities. Railway Civils Design Integration Lead Summary: We are now recruiting for a Railway Civils Design Integration Lead to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase which will run concurrently with the completion of main works contracts, which are now at their peak. We are now developing the track design team which will interface with Main Works Civils and Stations Contracts to manage any interfaces and resolve any potential issues for the track design integration such as earthworks, tunnels and viaducts.
