Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a site team delivering a new build residential development in London. Working on a contract basis for approximately six months, you will report directly to the Mechanical Project Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the mechanical installation on site.

This role suits a hands-on supervisor with strong residential experience who can drive quality, programme, and safe working practices across multiple subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the mechanical installation works on a residential new build project
  • Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on a daily basis
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
  • Monitor quality and carry out inspections and snagging
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
  • Liaise closely with the Mechanical Project Manager to report progress and issues
  • Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on new build residential projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services (HVAC, domestic water, drainage, plant)
  • Experience working on London construction sites
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive, site-focused approach to problem-solving

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • First Aid
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS (Supervisor or Skilled Worker level)
