360 Recruitment is currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for a Transport Manager, to be based out of their West Midlands office.

Job role: Transport Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £40k - £45k (dependant on level of experience)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and enforce company processes and procedures to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Operator License.
• Maintain Operator license data to the satisfaction of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA.
• Administrate, advise, and inform the wider business on all legislative updates relating to Operator License compliance, record keeping requirements, vehicles checks, maintenance, and condition reporting.
• Ensure that fleet processes comply fully with legislative requirements of continuous motor insurance.
• Provide support and advice to all employees within the business.
• Ensure all vehicles are serviced as per manufacturers recommended service intervals and LOLER tests are kept up to date.
• Ensure that vehicles and equipment are maintained in a fit and proper manner, in accordance with vehicle & equipment operating manuals.
• Keep the Directors and Senior Managers of the business fully informed of any issues arising that require action.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation.

Qualifications / Experience:

• 3+ year experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Technical background in light & heavy vehicles.
