VGC Group Appointed Person (AP)
Project: TRU (Transpennine Route Upgrade)
Location: Huddersfield, Yorkshire HD1 6LD
Start Date: ASAP

VGC Group is currently looking for an experienced Appointed Person (AP) to join the TRU project in Huddersfield.

The suitable candidate must hold:

• CPCS Blue Card OR NPORS with CSCS logo

• Proven relevant experience, ideally from a Crane Supervisor / Appointed Person background

• Rate: £25.00 per hour PAYE (may be negotiable depending on experience)

• Planning lifting operations, considering ground conditions, site access/egress, proximity hazards, and other ongoing construction activities

• Approving all risk assessments, lift plans, lift categorisation, and method statements

• Managing lifting equipment and facilities, and coordinating emergency services when required

• Overseeing the execution and safety of lifting operations (may be delegated where appropriate)

• Proof of right to work in the UK

• Valid qualifications and tickets required for the role
