Freelance Site Manager

Future Build Recruitment are currently working with a great client of ours as they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build cladding project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to specification, and within budget. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management of site activities for the cladding package

• Coordination and supervision of site labour

• Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

• Enforce health & safety standards, site inductions, RAMS, and toolbox talks

• Monitor quality control and carry out inspections throughout the build

• Liaise with the main contractor and client.

• Manage site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and permits

• Identify and resolve site issues efficiently to avoid delays

• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations and industry standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding projects

• Strong knowledge of external envelope systems (e.g. rainscreen, SFS, insulation, facades)

• SMSTS (or SSSTS with relevant experience)

• Valid CSCS card

• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation

• Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• First Aid at Work (desirable)
