Design Manager North Yorkshire Regional Contractor £45k - £60k + package

I m working with a growing North Yorkshire based contractor that specialises in façade and remediation works, particularly compliance-led schemes.

They re looking to appoint a Design Manager to take ownership of design management and demonstrate competency to the Building Safety Regulator.

The Role

• Manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion
• Coordinate external consultants, designers, and specialist subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, fire safety, and façade standards
• Take ownership of design competency and regulatory submissions
• Identify and manage design risk and technical interfaces
• Support project teams with buildable, compliant design solutions

Applications are welcome from:

• Design Managers / Design Coordinators from a main contractor background
• Architects or Architectural Technologists looking to move into main contracting
• Candidates with façade, cladding, or remediation experience

You ll need:

• Strong technical understanding of construction and compliance
• Experience managing or coordinating design information
• Confidence dealing with regulators, consultants, and delivery teams
