Their portfolio includes commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public-sector schemes, typically ranging from 100k to 3m. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a collaborative commercial team and play a key role in securing profitable work. You will be involved from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with project, commercial, and procurement teams to produce accurate and competitive pricing for projects typically valued between 100k and 3m.
Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for general build and refurbishment schemes valued 100k- 3m
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation to assess scope, risks, and constraints
Producing bills of quantities, take-offs, and pricing schedules
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
Evaluating returns and building robust comparisons and recommendations
Assisting with tender strategy and contributing to bid submissions
Working collaboratively with delivery teams to hand over tenders effectively
Identifying value-engineering opportunities and commercial efficiencies
Maintaining cost databases and ensuring consistent pricing methodologies
Supporting negotiations and clarifying tender queries with clients when required
You'll be detail-driven, commercially aware, and confident working within a busy estimating environment, with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously for projects 100k- 3m.
Proven experience as an Estimator within a construction contracting environment
Background working on general build / refurbishment projects of 100k- 3m
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Solid understanding of materials, labour rates, subcontract procurement, and supply chains
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification (desirable)
Competitive salary 45,000 - 55,000 depending on experience
