We are seeking a Plan Checker on a contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote working and is suitable for those with experience in building control and a Class 2F designation. This is a part time and ad hoc role working no more than 5 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and assessing building plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Providing detailed feedback and recommendations for necessary modifications
- Liaising with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to discuss plan requirements
- Ensuring all reviewed plans adhere to Building Control standards
- Documenting findings and maintaining comprehensive records of all reviewed plans
- Offering expert advice on building regulations and compliance issues
- Staying up-to-date with changes in building regulations and ensuring plans reflect current standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control and plan checking
- Class 2F qualification
- Strong understanding of building regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in plans
- Proficient in written and verbal communication to provide clear and concise feedback
