Job Description

Our client, a leader in the buildings sector, is currently seeking a motivated Senior / Principal Building Control Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Essex. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model with a mix of office, site, and home working arrangements to suit the needs of the projects.

Their projects are higher in value than many competitors which allows for a smaller, more interesting portfolio of work.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval
  • Conducting site visits, preparing detailed reports, and witnessing tests (full, valid driving licence required)
  • Attending client and design team meetings to provide professional advice regarding building control work
  • Familiarising with and utilising management systems, including the Quality Management system
  • Operating in alignment with the commercial requirements of projects, including costs and programme


Job Requirements:

  • Experienced and qualified Building Control professional with a commitment to excellence
  • Possess a outlook to transform society through their work
  • Strong technical knowledge and a creative problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive approach to client relationships and delivering outstanding service
  • Accreditation from RICS, CABE, CIOB, or similar
