Job Description

CIVILS PROJECT MANAGER New Lanark, SCOTLAND £55,000 TO £65,000 FULL-TIME, PERMANENT

This Civils Project Manager role offers an immediate start for the right person. As a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you ll lead major civil engineering works with a strong focus on earthworks and drainage. Ideal for an experienced Civils Project Manager with 5+ years' proven delivery experience. A great opportunity for a Civils Project Manager seeking long-term stability and progression.

Role Overview

Manage civil engineering projects end-to-end, with emphasis on earthworks, drainage, project planning, HSQE documentation, team leadership and client coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all civil engineering activities from enquiry to completion

  • Lead earthworks and drainage-focused projects

  • Manage design coordination, planning and project review processes

  • Ensure operatives meet qualification and compliance standards

  • Maintain Health & Safety File and undertake site safety checks

  • Prepare safety paperwork: inductions, briefings, RAMS, COSHH, ALO

  • Promote Close Call reporting and assist incident investigations

  • Lead tender processes including handover and risk reviews

  • Mentor and support on-site teams to ensure safe, efficient working

  • Manage budgets, forecasting and commercial reporting

  • Liaise with statutory bodies and external parties

  • Support collaborative working and integrated project delivery

  • Monitor personnel working hours for compliance

  • Attend management review meetings and support HSQE objectives

  • Conduct audits and inspections

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Civils Project Manager

  • Strong background in earthworks and drainage (desirable)

  • SMSTS

  • PTS desirable

  • Experience delivering civils or rail infrastructure projects

  • Strong collaborative and leadership skills
