We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long established main contractor based in Reading. The business is privately owned and has been operating for over 50 years, delivering projects across the South of England. Project sectors include education, commercial, social housing, care and leisure valuing typically up to £30mil.

As a result of a busy forward order book, they're looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing your own project through delivery to final accounts and completion. You will be reporting into the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor

• Manage sub-contract procurement
• Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
• Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements of this Quantity Surveyor position

• Have a HNC / construction related degree
• Have administered JCT forms of contract
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
• Must live within commutable distance to Reading
