We're actively looking for a Site Manager to look after a Demolition & Groundworks project in Oxford for a public sector site. Supervise direction of the project on site, working to client requirements and the highest standards. Ensure day to day operations run smoothly and that Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are hit. Ensure deadlines are hit in line with the programme. Morning briefs, toolbox talks, Friday packs, progress meetings. Ensure all health & safety procedures are enforced and being responsible for health & safety on site. Supervise all site operatives and sub-contractors. Manage site resources and plant accordingly. Strong recruitment group are looking for x2 CCDO Demolition Operatives based in Swindon for a 2 month contract starting as soon as possible. The demolition operatives will be required to help demolish a pharmaceutical plant. In the plant they manufactured penicillin so all workers will be required to wear hazard suits and face masks at all times. No are provided for this role SALARY: £16.00 - £17.00 PER HOUR (higher salary dependant on experience) All applicants but have a valid CCDO Card and be non-smokers due to wearing a hazard suit all day. Our client, an exceptional employer and provider of plant hire/tool hire and specialist hire products are seeking to employ a Service Engineer/Plant Fitter . Description We are recruiting for a Service Engineer / Plant Fitter to diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a range of plant equipment in the Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands. The ideal candidate will be dealing with clients on site and must be professional and maintain high levels of customer service at all times. You must also be able to work on your own initiative. The key parts of the role will be maintaining plant and equipment to ensure breakdowns are kept to a minimum and that utilisation levels are maintained. Attending breakdowns on client sites as well as attending sites to service equipment regularly. Strip down and repair or maintain plant and equipment whilst observing all necessary Health & Safety procedures applicable to the item(s) in question. Ensure accurate work records are completed fully and signed by site operatives including a detailed record of items used. This role would be ideally suited to a Plant Fitter, Mechanic or Service Engineer who has worked on plant equipment and has excellent diesel and petrol engine experience as well as a good mechanical equipment background. Equally a strong background with Tool Hire equipment would be considered also. Skills: Diesel and Petrol engine experience and good mechanical equipment background, preferably in the plant hire industry High level of customer service Time served / semi-skilled or be NVQ Level 2/3 is preferable Full UK Driving Licence Up to Date CSCS card, Vehicle provided Salary Negotiable depending on experience. The candidate will be expected to be on-call once a month - which is paid accordingly, overtime will be paid on any work completed above normal basic hours. A Van will be provided for work use. Role and Responsibilities • Possible site activities requiring a high level of expertise and experience: Ultimately responsible for ensuring the appropriate management, monitoring and control of Safety, Health and Environmental responsibilities of our client’s operatives, visiting personnel and public. • Enabling works, demolition and underpinning and all Civil and Structural Engineering • Minor and Major Temporary Works • Ground works incorporating major earthworks, confined excavations, deep excavations, open cut excavations, drainage, piling (all forms), retained walling, retained facades, sub-structure re-engineering, sub and super concrete structures, steelwork up to super structure. • Interface and liaise with Client/Main Contractor(s), or representatives, where applicable. • Resource management for plant, transport, materials and personnel. • Management and delegation of site-based Project team to deliver activities against program and instructed items out of scope. • Reporting to Senior management on project costs, program progress and targets, resource requirements, out of scope works, deviations from plan, breaches of Safety, Health and Environmental issues. • Overall responsibility for quality control of on-site activities and delivered products. • Sub-Contractor and supplier management thorough strict control mechanisms of contractual agreements, relationship management, program adherence, delivery scheduling, quality monitoring and authoritative procedures. • Environmental management control and monitoring. • Project Office control incorporating document management, production information distribution, contractual reviews, RFI, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, out of scope works, team meeting management and general reporting. • The management of variations to scoped works, changes to program, variations to contract, additional authorised works.
