The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a contractor for a project in Horsham. This client is a commercial contractor currently working on a school extension. This is a freelance position until January and potential extension till March. This client is looking for someone with confidence in Site Managing internals or externals.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and manage the construction programme and schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel
  • Ensure materials, equipment and resources are available when needed
  • Enforce health & safety regulations and conduct site inductions
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work
  • Maintain site compliance with building codes, permits and legal requirements
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure it meets project specifications and standards
  • Inspect completed work and address defects
  • Ensure materials meet required quality standards
  • Manage and lead daily site activities
  • Resolve on site problems and coordinate solutions
  • Provide direction to subcontractors and labour teams
  • Liaise with client and site team
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports
  • Attend site meetings and relay updates to stakeholders
  • Monitor budgets, labour hours and material usage
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working for a commercial contractor
  • Experience working as a Site Manager
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management
  • Relevant tickets
