Project Manager - Construction Location: Southampton / Hampshire
Salary: Up to £65,000 + package (DOE)
We are working with a well-established, forward-thinking construction consultancy who are seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team. This role would suit an ambitious Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step up into a fully client-facing position.
The Role:
You'll lead projects from early stages through to completion, working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll take ownership of delivery, communication, and overall project performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end project delivery across a mix of construction projects
- Attend and lead client meetings, providing clear and confident communication
- Produce programmes, budgets, reports, and progress updates
- Handle risk management, contract administration, and change control
- Oversee design coordination and procurement processes
- Maintain excellent standards of health, safety, and quality
- Support junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Requirements: - Ideally 5+ years' experience in a project management or assistant PM role
- Consultancy background preferred (main contracting experience also considered)
- Strong client-facing skills with the confidence to lead meetings
- Good understanding of construction processes, procurement, and contract admin
- Relevant degree or professional qualification (RICS / CIOB / MAPM advantageous)
- Organised, proactive, and keen to progress
