Senior Electrical Engineer

The OpportunityHays is recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major construction project in the North East. This role offers the chance to take ownership of electrical delivery on a significant extension to an existing facility, currently progressing through pre-construction and design stages.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering package through delivery, ensuring compliance with design and construction standards
• Oversee and mentor an M&E Engineer working directly underneath you
• Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project success
• Manage technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction into build phase.
• Provide leadership during construction, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer within large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in complex facilities
• Ability to manage and guide junior engineers effectively
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Track record of delivering projects from design through to completion
