Job Description

GVR Solutions are proud to be working with a reputable and expanding drylining contractor that delivers high-quality partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit-out solutions across a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Supervisor looking to progress their career within a dynamic and specialist subcontracting environment.

The responsibilites of the Site Supervisor:

  • Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site activities and ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.
  • Participate in daily site walks and toolbox talks to identify and address safety issues proactively.
  • Understand and help implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Assist in supervising subcontractors and operatives, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Help prepare and maintain daily activity briefs and progress logs.
  • Assist in ordering and logging materials and deliveries in line with project requirements.
  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining accurate records of site activities using company systems.
  • Assist in the coordination of plant and equipment usage and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
  • Help monitor compliance with PPE and site cleanliness standards.
  • Support the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures.
  • Participate in internal site meetings and contribute to coordination and planning discussions.
  • Maintain professional conduct in all interactions with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

The Site Supervisor must have/be:

  • Basic experience in construction or site-based roles.
  • Understanding of safety and quality standards.
  • CITB Certification or working towards, CSCS Card, SSSTS (or willingness to obtain).
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within structured systems.
  • Willingness to learn and support team goals.
  • Basic understanding of RAMS, PPE and construction processes.
  • Reliable, cooperative, and adaptable.
  • Able to absorb new information quickly.
