Your new company
A leading provider of civil engineering solutions across Northern Ireland is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, they are committed to innovation, safety, and excellence in every aspect of our work. Due to continued growth, they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in Mid-Ulster.
Your new role
You will be a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a background in civil engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contract management across a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Manage project costs from initial calculations to final accounts.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and variations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and safety regulations.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and cost reporting.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
