Job Description

Construction Resource is working with a well-established, publicly listed company based in Merseyside, North West, that specialises in house building. They are currently seeking a dedicated Permanent Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This company takes pride in delivering quality residential projects across the region. Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and delivered within set parameters.
  • Support the review and analysis of subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Contribute to cost planning and value engineering initiatives for residential projects.
  • Track and manage variations, ensuring all changes are properly documented and communicated.
  • Assist in the procurement process and the timely issue of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate measurements, valuations, and reporting.
  • Help prepare and submit interim and final accounts in accordance with project timelines.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the house building sector.
  • Understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software such as Asta Powerproject, CostX or equivalent.
  • A proactive approach and a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
