Role: Junior Electrical Estimator

Location: Exeter
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (depending on experience)

Our client, a well-established Building Services Engineering company with over 40 years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) design and installation, is expanding their team!

This role offers an excellent entry point into the estimating field, with genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development within the company. You'll learn from experienced professionals and take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaboration: Work with senior estimators, project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially viable.
• Documentation: Maintain and update estimating databases and software, preparing detailed and accurate reports.
• Tender Support: Assist senior estimators in the timely preparation and submission of tenders.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and cost estimates for electrical work by analyzing drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Project Support: Conduct site visits and assist with the handover of contracts to project managers when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Communication Skills: Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Organisational Skills: Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when reviewing technical documents and data.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of electrical systems and current electrical regulations is beneficial.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating or project management software is advantageous.
