Electrical Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor with experience in a social housing enviroment to oversee electrical operations within our organisation.

This role involves supervising electrical maintenance, project management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The successful applicant will play a vital part in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our electrical infrastructure, contributing to the ongoing success of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
• Oversee electrical maintenance programmes, including routine inspections and repairs
• Manage electrical projects from planning through to execution, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings
• Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise operational processes
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth project integration and operational continuity
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering professional development
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to health and safety policies

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience within an electrical environment, ideally within a housing association
• Strong background in electrical systems, maintenance, and repair procedures
• Extensive knowledge of project management principles applied to electrical projects
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding integrated systems
