We are a respected construction contractor with a strong track record in social housing and community-led construction projects across the Birmingham area. Our focus is on delivering quality, sustainable homes and extensions that make a genuine difference to local communities. With a healthy pipeline of new build and refurbishment projects, we're now looking to strengthen our commercial team.

The Role

As our Senior QS, you'll be responsible for managing the full commercial cycle from tender to final account. You'll oversee costs, contracts, and procurement, ensuring our projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial management of multiple housing and extension projects.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate tenders, valuations, and final accounts.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement and management.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
• Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams.
• Support junior QS staff and contribute to team development.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience as a QS, ideally within social housing or residential construction.
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and cost management processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially astute.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
