Groundworks Foreman

The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Foreman to join a reputable groundworks contractor. This client is looking for a either a temporary-to-permanent or permanent candidate with residential groundworks experience and to be based on sites within a 60-mile radius of Eastleigh.

Foreman Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing up to 20 groundworkers/plant operatives on busy residential projects.
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, including sewers, drainage, foundations etc.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with the main contractor, as well as other sub-contractors.
• Liase with senior figures to ensure progress, materials and workforce numbers remain a good level.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience working for a Groundworks contractor, ideally on residential projects
• SMSTS / SSSTS
• Experience working as a Foreman/Supervisor.
