Senior Quantity Surveyor Heritage Refurbishment Project (Tooting, London)
Salary: £85,000 + £5,000 car allowance + bonus + benefits
Location: Tooting, London
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected residential developer on a high-end heritage refurbishment project in Tooting, South London.
This role would suit a commercially astute and detail-driven SQS with proven experience working on refurbishment or restoration projects, ideally within heritage or listed building environments. You ll be joining a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering architecturally sensitive residential developments across the UK.
The Role:
- Oversee all commercial and cost management aspects of a major heritage-led residential refurbishment project.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and cost control.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure delivery to budget and programme.
- Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Provide commercial insight and reporting to senior management.
Experience Required:
- Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on refurbishment or heritage projects (residential or mixed-use).
- Strong understanding of traditional construction methods and the unique challenges of working on listed buildings.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Package:
- £85,000 basic salary
- £5,000 car allowance
- Annual bonus (approx. 10% based on individual and company performance)
- 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays, with Christmas shutdown)
