Job Description

Building Fabric Project Manager - Permanent Opportunity

Location: Field-based with regional travel

Salary: up to 60,000 + Car/Allowance + Pension + Benefits

We're working with a specialist contractor to recruit a skilled Building Fabric Project Manager to lead the delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, and new build works across commercial and public sector sites. This is a hands-on role overseeing all aspects of building fabric projects-from planning and procurement to site coordination and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage building fabric projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate procurement, contractor appointments, and supplier management
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and environmental standards
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Report on project status, risks, and performance to senior management

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in building fabric project delivery
  • Strong knowledge of materials, systems, and construction methods
  • Experience with project planning tools and CRM software (e.g. SimPro)
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • DBS certification (essential - will be processed during onboarding)
  • CSCS and SMSTS (desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Full UK driving licence
