Building Fabric Project Manager - Permanent Opportunity
Location: Field-based with regional travel
Salary: up to 60,000 + Car/Allowance + Pension + Benefits
We're working with a specialist contractor to recruit a skilled Building Fabric Project Manager to lead the delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, and new build works across commercial and public sector sites. This is a hands-on role overseeing all aspects of building fabric projects-from planning and procurement to site coordination and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage building fabric projects from inception to completion
- Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical documentation
- Coordinate procurement, contractor appointments, and supplier management
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and environmental standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Report on project status, risks, and performance to senior management
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in building fabric project delivery
- Strong knowledge of materials, systems, and construction methods
- Experience with project planning tools and CRM software (e.g. SimPro)
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- DBS certification (essential - will be processed during onboarding)
- CSCS and SMSTS (desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence
