Strong communication and negotiation abilities. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple tenders while meeting deadlines. Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Produce accurate bills of quantities, take-offs, cost plans, and tender submissions. Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential commercial opportunities. Carry out site visits and assess existing site conditions where required. Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify scope and technical requirements. Ensure estimates are completed within agreed deadlines. Maintain estimating databases, labour rates, material costs, and subcontractor pricing. Support value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance. Assist with handover of successful tenders to the commercial and project delivery teams. Maintain accurate records of tender information and estimating decisions.
