Construction Director West Yorkshire £90,000 £100,000 + Car Allowance / Health / Bonus + Benefits Leadership role with strategic influence and long-term progression opportunities We re recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor with a £10m+ turnover, delivering a diverse range of new build and refurbishment projects up to £4m across commercial, industrial, and public sectors. They are seeking a Construction Director to oversee all operational delivery across multiple projects, providing strategic leadership from pre-construction through to handover. This pivotal role involves directing project teams, ensuring operational excellence, driving programme performance, and maintaining client relationships at senior level. The Role:

• Provide strategic leadership across all live projects (new build & refurbishment)
• Oversee construction delivery from pre-construction through to completion
• Take full accountability for project performance, quality, and profitability
• Collaborate with the Commercial and Pre-Construction teams on tender strategy and programming
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are consistently achieved
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business growth and repeat work
• Contribute to board-level decisions and future business strategy

The Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Construction Director or Senior Contracts Manager within a main contracting environment
• Strong technical, commercial, and operational understanding
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to delivery and problem-solving
• Ambition to drive growth and continuous improvement within a progressive contractor
