Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected, multidisciplinary consultancy working on one of Oxford's most prestigious developments.

This is a predominantly site-based position offering the chance to take full commercial ownership of a technically complex, high-value project - with an MEP package exceeding 150m.

The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor Role
As the Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of major mechanical and electrical packages on site.

You'll be responsible for:

• Negotiating provisional sums and managing subcontractor costs.
• Reviewing scopes, challenging costs, and preparing detailed cost reports.
• Overseeing valuations, cost stage management, and change control.
• Leading on contractor engagement and ensuring value is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll work closely with a team of 14 MEP cost managers and estimators, collaborating across disciplines while enjoying the autonomy to make commercial decisions that drive project success.

This is a fast-paced, challenging role suited to someone with a strong MEP background who thrives on site and has the confidence to negotiate, manage change, and influence project outcomes.

The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in building services.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, procurement, and cost control.
• Ideally, previous experience working for or closely with a main or MEP contractor.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in Bluebeam advantageous.
