Associate Transport Planner

Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working)
Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 DOE

Panoramic Associates is proud to be working in partnership with a leading built environment consultancy to appoint an experienced Associate Transport Planner. Based in their expanding Bristol office, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong background in development planning and transport consultancy.

This role would suit a Senior or Principal Transport Planner ready for the next step, or an existing Associate seeking a new challenge in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You'll play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, and team leadership, helping to shape the future of transport planning within the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of transport planning projects
  • Provide expert advice to clients on transport assessments, statements, and travel plans
  • Undertake technical modelling using TRICS, Junctions 10, and LinSig
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the built environment sector
  • Support business development and contribute to growing the consultancy's client base
  • Mentor junior staff and help build a high-performing transport planning team

What You'll Need:

  • Degree in Transport, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related subject
  • Strong consultancy experience in private sector development planning preferred
  • Proficiency in TRICS, Junctions 10, LinSig (CAD and road safety design is a bonus)
  • A strong understanding of transport planning principles is essential: trip generation, trip distribution, relevant design standards, and the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
  • Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and design standards
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Full UK driving licence is required
