Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Regeneration and Infrastructure Programme London

A tier-one civil engineering contractor with a strong record for delivering major civil engineering and heavy infrastructure work is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in London. This appointment is central to a multi-phase regeneration and infrastructure programme valued in excess of 100m, contributing to one of the capital's most significant long-term developments.

Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide full commercial management support across infrastructure, remediation, and public realm works. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role will ensure robust financial governance, cost control, and contractual compliance under NEC form of contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement commercial procedures during project start-up
  • Prepare and manage procurement documentation, tender packages, and contract awards
  • Lead valuation, change management, and final account processes
  • Produce accurate cost forecasts and contribute to project financial targets
  • Manage subcontractor performance, payments, and commercial relationships
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while securing opportunities to enhance project value
  • Support dispute resolution and client negotiations as required


Essential Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Proven experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects at Senior QS level
  • Strong command of NEC contracts and associated commercial processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractor and client interfaces
  • Advanced analytical and reporting capability


Desirable

  • Chartered status or working towards RICS accreditation
  • Experience in regeneration or multi-stakeholder infrastructure schemes
