Senior Quantity Surveyor

A respected UK-wide construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering high-quality new build industrial and logistics schemes across the country.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

The successful Senior Quantity will join a growing team with a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for providing expert commercial and project delivery services in the logistics and industrial sector. This is a client-facing Senior Quantity Surveyor role that offers a clear path for progression and the chance to work across the full project lifecycle from inception to completion.

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have at least four years' experience working within the industrial and logistics sector and will either be chartered (MRICS) or actively working towards APC completion. A self-motivated attitude, willingness to travel, and strong organisational skills are essential.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Act as Employer's Agent and Quantity Surveyor on multiple industrial/logistics projects
• Lead design team coordination and client liaison from feasibility to completion
• Manage procurement, contract administration, valuations, and cost reporting
• Attend site visits, monitor progress, and chair project meetings
• Proactively manage variations, cost risk, and project cashflow
• Ensure compliance with the client's requirements and successful project delivery

Required Experience:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS-accredited)
• MRICS qualified or APC in progress (support provided if required)
• Minimum 4 years' experience in industrial/logistics construction projects
• Strong pre- and post-contract knowledge including JCT contracts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
