Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Residential & Care Developments
Location: New Forest & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + package (dependent on experience)
A well-established and growing main contractor is seeking an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. The business delivers a range of high-quality residential and care developments across the South of England and is known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships, and commitment to excellence.

The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor who enjoys variety in their work. You'll be involved in both pre-construction and live project management, working closely with the operations, design, and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions
  • Managing project costs through all stages, from procurement to final account
  • Assessing and valuing subcontractor packages and variations
  • Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Supporting pre-construction and business development activities
About You:
  • Previous experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or developer
  • Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial, education sectors
  • Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred
