Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Designer to produce technical drawings and design solutions for roofing, cladding, and fa ade projects. You will work closely with the design, estimating, and project teams to ensure all designs are buildable, compliant, and cost-effective. This is a great opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to progress their career within a specialist construction environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed technical drawings for roofing, cladding, and fa ade projects.

• Working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to develop practical and compliant design solutions.

• Reviewing architectural and structural drawings to ensure feasibility and accuracy.

• Assisting in the preparation of technical documentation and specifications.

• Supporting estimators and project managers with design input during tender and pre-construction phases.

• Collaborating with the design team to ensure standards and company processes are adhered to.

• Identifying potential design risks and contributing to solutions.

• Maintaining an up-to-date library of materials, details, and design standards.

What you will need to succeed:

• Experience as a Designer in roofing, cladding, or fa ade systems (essential).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.

• Strong technical understanding of building envelope systems.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Relevant qualifications in Architectural Technology, Construction, or a related discipline preferred.

• A proactive and solution-focused approach.
